For custom asset operations
Your organization’s assets, clearly defined
Not every institution works only with gold and silver. HOLD OS lets an institution define its own asset with a specific identity, unit and precision, and manage it with the same logic used for Gold and Silver.
- Gold Native asset
- Silver Native asset
- Custom Defined by the institution
Shared financial core One logic for every asset
Defining a Custom asset
Custom assets are registered by the institution’s general administrator. Each one has its own name, unit and precision, and an institution can have more than one Custom asset.
The system makes no assumptions about a Custom asset: it does not impose grams, does not treat it as a kind of Gold and does not guess a grade or standard for it.
Unit, precision and identity
A Custom asset appears with its own definition everywhere in the system.
-
Stable identity
Changing the display name does not change the asset’s financial identity.
-
Defined unit
Quantities are recorded in the unit the institution defined.
-
Independent precision
The number of decimal places allowed, specific to this asset.
-
Its own wallet
Each Custom asset has its own wallet, beside the account’s shared cash wallet.
Approval boundaries
Defining an asset and being allowed to operate on it are two separate decisions.
| What to evaluate | How HOLD OS approaches it |
|---|---|
| Registering a Custom asset | Belongs to the general administrator; delegation to a customer or subaccount is never inferred from brand or ordinary admin permissions. |
| Activating it in the catalog | Sets identity, unit, precision and display price; on its own it does not allow trading, opening wallets or leasing. |
| Performing operations | Subject to authority by role, account and asset, and to the institution’s rules. |
History kept apart from other assets
Custom asset records keep the identity and unit they were recorded with. A Custom asset contract or balance is never converted or relabelled when someone selects another asset such as Silver.
If a Custom asset is deactivated, new entries for it are restricted, while earlier balances and obligations stay in that asset. This is an illustrative example.
- Recorded history A balance recorded in the Custom asset
- Selection changes A user selects Silver
- History kept The record remains the Custom asset
Assess fit precisely
A Custom asset is a controlled definition mechanism, not a promise to support every kind of asset or financial contract. These questions help you assess fit realistically.
Can your asset be defined with a specific unit and precision?
Custom assets in HOLD OS are defined by name, unit and precision. If yours can be, we examine how it would be managed during the walkthrough.
Do you lease this asset?
Leasing a Custom asset needs its own approved profile, and defining the asset does not create that profile automatically.
Do you have specific legal requirements?
Defining an asset in HOLD OS does not make any asset class legally or operationally supported; raise this in the fit conversation.
Tell us about your asset
Choose “Our own custom asset” in your email and describe the asset briefly, so the walkthrough can focus on it.
